Facilities

Belford House is equipped with everything that is required to promote a first class quality of life. From a passenger lift to hoisted baths, Belford House has everything our residents could need.

Laundry is all done in house and delivered back to their rooms on a daily basis. Dry cleaning can also be arranged.

Medication is taken care of and administered by the senior members of staff who are all fully trained in that field. We organise all repeat prescriptions and ensure that reviews are carried out by the G.P.s. Anyone wishing to self medicate is able to do so once the family, G.P. and manager have agreed that they are competent to do so.

Visiting hairdressers, chiropodists, physiotherapists and the local Doctors and district nurses visit the house regularly and assistance is given with individual religious requirements. A mobile library ensures there is always a fresh supply of books and other reading matter available.

Other professionals such as dentists, audiologists and optometrists can also be arranged whether it be in the house or at one of the local hospitals.

Daily newspapers and periodicals can be arranged and are delivered every morning along with the post.

There are three hoisted baths as well as a wet room so that whatever you prefer is available to you.

TVs with DVD players, SKY and hi fi facilities are available in sitting rooms.

An eight person hydraulic lift is in the centre of the house for those that have a room on the first floor

There is a call bell system in the house as well as residents having the choice of their own personal pendant call bells so that they can reach someone wherever, whenever.

Our beautiful gardens with a paved patio area, flower beds and benches are ideal for a stroll or just sitting and relaxing in warmer weather.

Residents enjoy a nutritious and varied menu using fresh local produce wherever possible. All our food is home cooked and we cater for all special dietary requirements.

In addition to 24 hour residential care, we can also provide respite care (when a room is available) and day care.

Visiting is unrestricted and guests are welcome at any time.
